OUR AMAZING TEAM OF PROFESSIONAL, CARING AND SUPER-FUN STAFF MEMBERS

Our well established enthusiastic and dedicated team are vital to Eynsham Pre-school’s ability to provide high quality care and education. They are a highly qualified, experienced and friendly team who respect the individuality and needs of each child and their family.

All team members have completed training in Early Years, been through an in-depth selection process and are DBS checked.  All staff hold Ofsted approved Paediatric First Aid Certificates, have completed local authority safeguarding training and food hygiene; as well as a programme of continuous professional development to ensure the education and care we provide enables all children to discover their true potential.

KELLY HARRIS

PRE-SCHOOL MANAGER

About Me I became manager of Eynsham Pre-school in 2013 and have over 20 years’ experience in a number of Early Years roles. I am part of Oxfordshire County Council’s Leaders of Early Learning where I support other childcare settings within Oxfordshire. I have a passion for high quality childcare and education; believing every child should have the opportunity for the best start in their educational journey. I am lead safeguarding officer and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO). I have three wonderful children who are full of fun and keep me busy!
Likes: I love to travel and have been luckily enough to spend time in many countries, my favourite is Italy in particular Venice. I love chocolate and enjoy exercising which is probably a good thing!
Fun Fact: I have scuba dived in the Great Barrier Reef and swam with turtles in Barbados.

JOANNE CHAUNDY

DEPUTY MANAGER

About me: I'm one of those lucky people who love my job. I joined Eynsham Pre-School in 2001 and understand that children thrive in a positive and engaging setting. I love the interaction with the children and I am dedicated to helping children build an understanding of the world around them. I am also the Physical Development and Expressive Arts and Design Co-ordinator.
Likes: I live in Eynsham with my partner and have 3 children. I enjoy long walks with the dog, travelling around Europe with my family and finding inspiration in the people we meet and the places we find on our travels.
Fun fact: Dining at my favourite restaurant involves two cable car rides from Chamonix to Le Brevent at 2,525m to enjoy great food accompanied by stunning panoramic views of Mont Blanc.

NIKKI DAVIS

EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER (3rd in charge)

About me: My name is Nicki Davis, I have been married to my husband Jason for 14 years and we have 3 wonderful children Trinity 17 Summer 13 and Riven who is 10. I have lived in Eynsham most of my life, and I have a long family history here. In my other life (before children) I used to be a travel agent, and have travelled all over the world. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family. Currently in our family I have a great grandmother which means I am one of five generations she is a ripe old age of 102 and going strong. I am the Personal, Social, Emotional and Behaviour Co-ordinator.
Likes: Spending time with family, having fun, laughing and dancing.
Fun fact: I have flown a helicopter over Oxfordshire, and I am pretty hot on the dance floor.

TERESA SEENEY

About me: I have two girls , they are aged 25 and 19, so all grown up now. I have quite a collection of animals a dog, two rabbits two chickens and a budgie, also a part share in Pumpkin and Sparky the preschool guinea pigs. I am the Mathematics Co-ordinator and Pre-school vet!
Likes: Things I like to do are walking, watching any animal related film or programme , going to the cinema and spending time with family and friends.
Fun fact: I was a zookeeper for the day at Whipsnade Wildlife Park for my 40th birthday, I was able to muck out a rhino and feed wolves and giraffes.

PENNY THOMAS

EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER

About me: First of all I am a key person to a group of children, who I get to know well and encourage and develop to reach their potential. I am also the Communication and Language Co-ordinator and the Special Needs Co-ordinator.
I am married with two children. We are a sporty family and both my children play football and cricket, as well as my son playing American football for University. We have lived in Eynsham for 8 years after moving from London.
Likes: I like to play tennis, watch films at the cinema and meet friends for coffee and cake.
Fun fact: I was part of a team who rode the London to Brighton bike race on a 10 person bike!

EMMA TALMAGE

EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER

About me: My name is Emma Talmage. I have 2 children ages 6 and 11 years old who both attended the Pre-School. I live in the village of Eynsham and have worked with children since leaving college at 18. I have worked in a nursery, worked as a nanny for a family and now working at Pre-School part time. I am the Understanding the World Co-ordinator.
Likes: I enjoy sports which include running cycling and playing Netball. I ran the Oxford half marathon in 2015 and also qualified as a level 2 Netball coach 3 years ago. I love spending time with my beautiful family and wonderful friends.
Fun fact: I would love to say I have skydived and been on safari feeding lions but sadly my fun fact is that I enjoy life and making wonderful memories with my friends and family while we holiday and explore the world.

LUCY MERRY

ADMIN, BOOKKEEPING & PAYROLL SUPPORT

About me: I have been a Committee member then appointed Admin, Bookkeeper & payroll Support for the Preschool and Committee. I have 2 children Reuben & Ethan, a wonderful husband, a nutty Dalmatian named Duke. I have grown up in Eynsham and have a vested interest in the community. My Back Ground consists of working for Victim Support, Witness Service for 15 years managing the service within Oxford Magistrates and Oxford Crown court supporting Victims and Witnesses of crime. During this time, I was the Chair of the Fundraising committee for the Thames Valley. I also run my own Craft business and enjoy making anything creative and crafty.
Likes: Crafting, family time, friends, chocolate.
Fun fact: I’ve been in a hot air balloon over Cairns and a helicopter over Sydney, and been snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef.

BANK STAFF

About me: I live on a farm with my partner Brian and my two boys Ruben and Zak. We have chickens, ducks, goats sheep and cows. I have a large garden and we are growing lots of vegetables.
Likes: walking, gardening, movies and camping in the New Forest.
Fun fact: Climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge in a thunder storm.
